Digital volume tomography (DVT) is a further development of computed tomography (CT). The difference is that CT records slices of the body in several passes, which are then combined as a volume. With DVT, on the other hand, a volume (sphere) is recorded directly in one run, with one recording that contains all the basic data that can be processed in different ways using state-of-the-art software.
